 Appointment Attendance 


Please help us to help you by cancelling a pre-booked appointment when you no longer require it.


During the month of June 2016 218 appointments, amounting to 52 hours of clinical time, were wasted by patients failing to cancel their pre-booked appointment.


2998 appointments were attended. Thankyou to all patients who attended your appointment.


 



Named Accountable GP


From 1st April 2015, all Practices are required under the 2015-2016 General Medical Services Contract to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients registered with them, including children. The Named Accountable GP will have overall responsibility for co-ordinating the care and support Drs Ward, Pearce & Partners provides to you. However, we would like to stress that this does not prevent you from seeing ANY GP or Nurse within the practice or that your Named Accountable GP is always available to you, but they are simply your appointed care-co-ordinator. If you wish to know the name of your accountable GP, please ask at receptionist when you are next in the surgery. Please do not telephone the practice for this information as it will congest the telephone lines making it difficult for patients to get through with health concerns.


 



 


 Information Sharing Changes


As from 11th January 2016 YOUR MEDICAL RECORD WAS MADE AVAILABLE TO OTHER LOCAL CARE PROVIDERS.


However, your record will not be viewed unless you give explicit permission at the point of receiving care. If you have previously decided not to share your record and completed an 'Opt-Out Form', it will not be made available. For more information please click on the link entitled Enhanced Sharing Module on the right hand side of the screen or ask for a leaflet in reception.


 


 



This General Practice is Research Active


Conducting high-quality clinical research helps us to keep improving NHS care by finding out which treatments work best. In this practice, you might be asked to take part in a clinical research study. Alternatively, ask our staff about clinical studies suitable for you. Drs Ward, Pearce & Partners is a Training Practice consisting of 1 male and 2 female GP's. All the Partners have the qualifications you would expect of your General Practitioner plus many additional ones in order to teach the next generation of doctors. Between them Drs Ward, Pearce & Partners have over 50 years of experience in General Practice but are still constantly striving to deliver upto date and relevant healthcare for this generation.
